Periowave Therapy

In August 2007 we introduced PERIOWAVE® treatment to further improve the results of the deep sub gingival cleaning. This optional adjunctive therapy is a painless, non anti-biotic, laser treatment that is proving to be very effective and extremely popular with our Patients.

Immediately after the deep sub gingival cleaning, the area around each tooth is flooded with an unique photosensitive liquid. A laser light is directed around each tooth to produce additional photodisinfection. Patient outcomes should include a reduction or elimination of bleeding on probing, reduced inflammation, an improvement in gingival tissue tone and texture, a reduction in pocket depth and gain in clinical attachment level.
